Congratulations to our Teacher of the Week Mr. Chris Martinez
Mr. Martinez educates students on Earth's landscapes, cultures, and human-environment relationships.
He doesn’t just teach maps—Mr. Martinez helps students understand how the world works and how people are connected. He connects lessons to real life, like current events, cultures, climate issues, and global challenges. Instead of just memorizing countries and capitals, students explore why places develop the way they do and how geography impacts daily life. Great job Mr. Martinez!

Congratulations to our two amazing Spanish teachers Mrs. Galvan and Mrs. Veliz, these two are our teachers of the week!
These engaging, patient, and passionate teachers create a classroom environment where students feel comfortable in their classrooms and they build on the basics learned in Spanish by incorporating more conversation, interactive activities, and real-life applications. Instead of just focusing on grammar, they balance reading, writing, listening, and speaking—often using games, role-playing, music, and authentic materials to make learning meaningful and fun.
Beyond language, they expose students to diverse Spanish-speaking cultures, helping them understand traditions, perspectives, and global connections. Most importantly, our Spanish teachers inspire students to appreciate the language and motivates them to continue learning beyond the classroom.
We appreciate you two very much!

Every year our AFJROTC Cadet Corps from Pearsall High School travels to TFE to brighten a kid's day and provide meaningful community service by reading books at our fellow campus. The day is designed to make reading fun, with tips including keeping books in every room and having adults model reading behavior. Today, students at TFE were excited when PHS AF JROTC Cadets entered the room, selected some of their favorite books, sat down beside them, and began to share these stories.

In celebration of St. Patrick's Day, we invite all students and staff to wear Maverick green tomorrow!
Let's fill PHS with spirit, luck, and Maverick pride!💚🤘
