TEACHER PAY SCALE AND SALARY INCREASE

The Pearsall ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously at the June 24 Board Meeting to approve the 2026-2027 Compensation Plan, reflecting the district's continued commitment to attracting and retaining quality staff.

Teacher Salaries

Starting teacher salary has been increased to $65,000 for first-year teachers, with $400 step increments for additional years of experience.

All Other Staff

Administrative, clerical, and auxiliary staff will receive a 5% salary increase at mid-point.

Health Insurance

The district will increase its monthly contribution to employee health insurance from $375 to $499. As a result, the employee-only option for the Primary Care Plan will now be provided at no cost to the employee.

Incentive Pay

An incentive pay will be issued in December, with full-time employees receiving $750 and part-time employees receiving $375.

Local Leave

Employees on 226+ day calendars will receive three additional days added to the local leave policy.
