Dear Pearsall ISD Parents and Community Members,
I hope your children are enjoying the summer break and getting some much-needed rest. During the summer, our District personnel have been planning for the return of students for the 2023-24 school year. Our plans are centered around maintaining a safe environment for the students and staff of Pearsall ISD.
Earlier this month, we sent out a survey to the community and the staff to get feedback regarding student backpacks. Over 700 people responded to the community survey. From this community survey 48% of the respondents were in favor of having students bring clear backpacks to school. Additionally, according to the Pearsall ISD staff survey, over 76% are in support of students bringing a clear backpack to school.
Each campus administrator has been asked what they feel is best regarding student backpacks. All are in favor of having students bring clear backpacks to school this next year. Therefore, at this time, we feel that it is important to ask students to bring clear backpacks to school. Pearsall ISD will make plans to have clear backpacks available for those students who do not have one.
